Caldwell, Kansas

Caldwell's Opera House is Caldwell's oldest building. The building housed Caldwell's fist opera house in 1879 and boasts a colorful history, including the site of a shootout between Caldwell citizens and cowboy outlaws. The building was purchased and restored by the Caldwell Historical Society and today is used for cultural and entertainment events. It also showcases a display of historical artifacts from the 1880's during Caldwell's "hey0day" as a "rough and ready" cowtown along the Chisholm Trail.

Saint Martin's Church

St. Martin's Catholic church was built in 1924 in the style of old Spanish Missions. It's a beautiful old stucco and terra-cotta building with the mural "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" inside.
